I made this as a 2010 Christmas present for my parents. They recently moved to Florida, so this series painting represents that move. I really wanted to use the gold-leaf. Gluing the leaf onto the large area was a challenge, because it required multiple sheets of gold-leaf.

I made these as a 2010 Christmas present for my brother to put in his new man-cave. I thought a few small paintings would be quicker to make, but they turned out needing a lot more detail work because of their size.
